Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. Jacket and cartoons by the author (illustrateur). 1st Edition. First edition, second impression, published later the same year. SIGNED, DATED AND INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, IN BLUE PEN, ON FFEP 'For Wilf (? illegible) - remembering many hard fought, well discussed games. George 1967'. Some slight edge wear to top and bottom of jacket and spine, some slight yellowing and dust staining to back jacket, some faint spotting to endpapers and page fore edges, slight lean, not price clipped (15s), no other inscriptions, internally clean and tight, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 104pp, illustrated. George William Houghton (1905-93), was a prolific British golf writer and cartoonist. One reviewer said of him 'George Houghton's Addict' is the 'little man' of golf who likes to think himself, and is, the backbone of the game. Golf cuts us all down to size, and we realise that, on the links at any rate, we are all little men. Major Cyril James Hastings Tolley MC (1895-1978), was a British amateur golf champion and briefly a Liberal Party politician. Scarce signed. Signed by Author(s).
