Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. 1st Edition. Written by the author of Cuddle Bear of Piney Forest, The Door Under the Eaves is a little-known and exceedingly scarce juvenile with elements of Fantasy, SciFi, and Mystery. The setting is Michigan during the Spanish-American War. The story is enhanced by the illustrations of Pelagie Doane, legendary juvenile literature artist, whose work is on display on the dust jacket, hardcover, and frontispiece, as well within the book, itself. This Near Fine, tight and clean copy shows some softening at top and bottom of spine, and minor wear to the front and back bottom tips. The original $1.75 price is intact on the flap of the Very Good dust jacket, which shows generalized wear, some chipping at top and bottom of spine, and top and left of front cover.
