Ms. Efrat wrote numerous books about the language and history of the native peoples of the northwest coast of North America and served as the curator of linguistics at the British Columbia Provincial Museum from 1972-1973. This copy is a 1953 reprint of the 1948 first edition. Bit of writing inside front board. Occasional pencil markings to contents. Above-average external wear to publisher's decorated reddish cloth. Binding intact. A sound reference copy of this popular vintage text. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
