A very early story by Brossard whose first novel "Who Walk in Darkness" was published in 1952 and is considered by some as the first Beat novel. The poems by Fjelde were his first published works. He went on to translate plays by Ibsen.

First printing, three volume set of first three issues of publication (formerly the Yale Poetry Review), with tiny note signed by Shapiro (editor), all volumes have very slight offset to covers with a touch of faint foxing starting along at least one edge, slight bumps to spine ends, touch of very slight edgewear, and a few slight cross creases to spines, No. 2 also has light crease near upper rear corner, and No. 3 has a few areas of very slight peeling to rear cover along spine, otherwise a clean, solid VG set.
