First Edition. 450 g; VI, 234 pages, last two pages blank, text illustrated with numerous parts, and full-page black-and-white drawings. Coloured line drawing on front panel of the dust jacket. Debbie Endicott was only a child when her family left Scrooby, England, to seek a new home and religious freedom in Holland. Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. Godwin, Edward & Stephani (illustrateur). 1st Edition. This is the third book by Daringer about the Endicott family. From dj: "Susannah Endicott loved the Long Island farm in Hempstead Parish where she had lived all her life, and her parents' decision to send her to New York for the winter of 1683 so that she might attend a good school and learn to "comport herself as a young lady" was bitter news." "It is an absorbing story, filled with gaiety, good times, and warmly drawn characters -- all enriched by a living sense of an earlier period in American history." CONDITION (see photos): Very good condition book with slight bumping and rubbing to board edges, spine end, and a few pages. Clean and tight interior. Ink inscription on front endpaper from Rev.
