Volumes I-V, VIII, and Index lack Dust Jackets. Volume XI, XII, and Index are from 1938 Edition published by Methuen & Co. Volume XIII was originally published in 1952. Volume VI was printed in 1971. Spines are bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering, white dust jackets with black lettering, or green dust jackets with black lettering. Volumes VI, VII, IX, and X Dust Jackets have shelf wear, creasing, minor staining and scuffing, the plastic layer is tearing or fully removed, and are price clipped with a price sticker on the front flap. Volume X has a tear on the front cover. Volume VI has a small tear on the tail edge of the spine. Volumes XI-XIII Dust Jackets have tearing of various degrees, shelf wear, scuffing, and staining, Boards have shelf wear, minor tearing to the edges of the spine, scuffing and scratching, rubbing, and some bumping to corners. Text blocks have some scuffing along exterior edges, some pencil notation, and minor age-toning. Volumes I, II, and VIII's binding are partially shaken. Volume XI's rear pages are partially sticky.
