Wideranging memories of later Victorian England as seen by the Very Revd. S Reynolds Hole, Dean of Rochester, Kent. He wrote a lot esp. in retirement: roses and gardens, travel, memories. Here he covers inter alia artists, authors, sportsmen, clergy, gardeners, Oxonians, working men. Large heavy book, possibe extra carriage, but cheaper undated Nelson edition, blue cloth, £7.
