Edition originale
Cloth. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Fine. None (illustrateur). First edition. A vanishingly scarce first edition of the last, unfinished novel of E. W. Hornung, published here for the first time 94 years after his death. First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.Extremely scarce. This fascinating work is comprised of the first six chapters of the last novel of the English author and poet, Ernest William Hornung. This tale of Cain and Able was started the year before Hornung's death in 1921, although it was never finished. With permission from the Hornung family this manuscript was transcribed by Hornung's biographer, Peter Rowland. Rowland also includes an introduction and an afterword. With a frontispiece image presenting the first page of the manuscript. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with light shelf wear and the odd handling mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Fine. book.
