Slight crushing to spine ends. Light wear marks overall.

Cloth Bound Boards. Etat : Good. Eighth Edition. 1955 the Eighth edition. Size quarto, 594 pages. Black cloth covered boards with yellow titles to the front cover and spine. Condition good, 2 inches in from the front board upper outer corner a couple of mm has been "shaved" off the cover edge somehow, appears could have been done with scissors for example, the corners hinges and spine ends are rubbed as are the yellow titles on the spine. The pages are toned but otherwise clean throughout. From the Library of Nicholas Ambraseys. Nicholas Neocles Ambraseys FICE FREng 1929-2012 was a Greek engineering seismologist. He was emeritus professor of Engineering Seismology and Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College London. For many years Ambraseys was considered as the leading figure and absolute authority in earthquake engineering and seismology in Europe. Signed N. Ambraseys to the upper margin of the title page. This comes together with the accompanying Price List, wraps 24x38cm, 10pp, and loose "Errata and Corrections for the Period 1st January to 31st March, 1958", 24x38cm, (2)pp. Wraps good only, marked, with closed tears, scuffing to the back, and lean to spine. Interiors about very good with some creasing and marks. The Price List is near fine, and the Errata and Corrections leaf good with wear to the lower edge. This opens with General Information by Rear Admiral and Hydrographer A.B. Collins. This is followed by sections on Index Charts and Misc Charts and Diagrams, geographical sections that cross-relate to the Index Sheets, chart folios containing selections of charts for Merchant Ships, sailing directions and other publications, Admiralty Chart Depots and authorised agents, numerical list, and Index Sheets.
