Slight wear at the head of spine of Volume I and to the tail of the spine of Volume II. Near Fine copies. John Evelyn (1620-1706) was an English writer who is best-known for his diary. This diary spanned most of his life, from 1620 until 1706, the year of his passing. Evelyn's diary gained prominence for providing a first-person account of historical events in England.
