The book is bound in gray cloth with title and illustration in purple on the front cover. clovers very lightly soiled and light age-toning around the edges of the endpapers. Otherwise the book is clean, tight and unmarked. The dust jacket is in good condition with a .75" closed tear on the top edge of the front panel a small piece of paper missing on the bottom edge of the front panel and small chips and tears around the panel edges. The original price is on the front flap. Illustrated throughout by American illustrator and Caldecott runner up for " The Three Jovial Horsemen". Joseph Jacobs was a 19th century Austrian born British folklorist.This is a reprinting of one of his stories. Please see all images.
