Hardcover. Etat : Fair. No Jacket. A Fair 12mo hardcover (1927 copyright by the author) missing its dust jacket. 'Based on the Paramount Picture / A Lucien Hubbard Production / Directed By William A. Wellman' and 'Illustrated with Scenes From the Photoplay'. Missing all front matters between the illustrated front paste-down and the title page. Still present, fully legible, and securely bound, however, are all 249 lightly age-tanned text pages and seven plates with fourteen illustrations from the Best Picture, Production at the first Academy Awards. Blue cloth with black spine lettering, black decoration and a text block on the upper board. Cocked spine; bumped and/or rubbed spine head and tail edges (including a touch of fraying in the former). No ex-library markings.

Title page and publishers page missing. Binding of blue cloth with black title inset with blue lettering, black titles on spine. Worn, scruffy around the edges, particularly around the spine. Inner hinge cracked. Text/pages toned, clean and unmarked. On dedication page there is a small stain and the upper corner has a crease. Page 11 has a small tear on the fore edge and in the upper left corner. Rough cut. Two pencil lines on fore edge. Endpapers have a photograph of a WW 1 battle scene. 249 pages. 5.25 x 7.6 inches.
