The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 349 pages and in good condition. The blue cloth boards are bright and clean. The dust jacket is included, but tucked inside with some creases and chips. The inside pages are without writing. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the front free end page, dated 1976. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, "The Americans: The Democratic Experience.".

A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Covers slightly grubby with light stains along top edge of front cover. Endpapers browned. Some foxing and a very odd fingermark to contents.
