Pages are slightly tanned with minimal foxing throughout. Heavier tanning towards start and end of the book. pencil mark to front free endpaper. Illustrations and plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Binding is shaky. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Visible split to both joints. Moderate sunning to spine with heavy crushing to its ends. Peeling leather at corners and edges. Boards are bowed.

In generally very good order, the page edges browned, the covers a touch tatty and pulled at the spine and the middle pages loose from the staples. Overall a handsome exmaple, much better than is usually seen. The Commercial Motor was launched in 1905 by Temple Press and is still published today as an inprint of the DVV Media Group.
