Karl Wilhelm Borchardt (22 février 1817 à Berlin - 27 juin 1880 à Rüdersdorf) était un mathématicien allemand. Il a étudié à l'université Humboldt de Berlin, puis y enseigne à partir de 1848. Il a généralisé les travaux de Kummer de diagonalisation des matrices symétriques, utilisant les déterminants et les fonctions de Sturm. Il était éditeur du Journal de Crelle de 1856 à sa mort.
