Hardcover. Etat : Fair. First edition (no additional printings listed). Original maroon-red and stamped gilt pictorial cloth, 3 3/8 x 5 inches, 224 pp, illustrated with frontispiece. Fair. Corners bumped, rubbed along edges, some soil and drop marks on cloth, bubbling on spine, gilt dulled, Internally, front and rear hinges cracked, additional hinge cracks between several of the gatherings, free rear endpaper torn out with some gauze thus exposed, previous owner's inscription (in pencil) , title page detached and laid-in, a few stray tears and chips, occasional stray smudges, a bit wavy, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp, unmarked. True short stories about First Communion from various times and places; of particular interest is one about the Paris Commune. Religion; Tridentine; Council of Trent; traditional Roman Catholic; children's.
