Original publisher's brown yellow, white and purple wrappers portrait illustration of Beardsley on upper cover lettered black. Dannie Abse's copy with five leaves of a rough handwritten poem and a photocopy of a poem entitled 'On the Beach' loosely inserted. Also four press cuttings pastedown on 'International Press-Cutting Bureau' headed paper loosely inserted which describe poetry readings in which Abse took part along with other Hampstead poets and jazz musicians. Includes references to Spike Milligan, Laurie Lee and others. One compliments slip loosely inserted from the editor of 'The Listener'. Some of the articles and poems included are 'Aubrey Beardsley at the V & A' by D J Gordon, 'Some Letters' by Wallace Stevens, 'Lamina 96' by Ralph Robin and 'Olfactory Pursuits' by Dannie Abse. Dannie Abse (1923 Ð 2014) was a doctor, poet, novelist and playwright. Spine and edges a little rubbed. Very good. Slight rubbing, otherwise very good.
