Small octavo, single sheet folded to make four pages. First edition. Rheinhart Kleiner (1892-1949), poet and amateur journalist, was one of H. P. Lovecraft's oldest associates. Kleiner's "A Note on Howard P. Lovecraft's Verse," the first assessment of Lovecraft's poetry, was published in THE UNITED AMATEUR, March 1919. Horvat's leaflet was probably distributed as part of a National Amateur Press Association monthly bundle. A "spoiled" copy with a spot of printer's ink on the title, else a fine copy. (#155707).
