He allied with the Nazis in WWII and was executed by the Russians; he published at least nine books. These are Very Good copies of the First American Edition, somewhat scarce. Translation from the 2nd Russian edition by Erik Law-Gisiko; introduction by William Gerhardi. An historical/political novel. Two volumes; red paper-covered boards with black cloth spines and paper labels; no dustjackets. Clean text; 468 pages and 384 pages. Volume One contains several "treatments" tipped in by a previous owner. A photo of Krassnoff is tipped onto the rear paste-down; the front endpapers have a review and a newspaper cartoon of Stalin, as well as a bookplate and contemporary signature.
