She has a significant presence in the city of Sacramento, where she taught at Sacramento State for thirty-one years. This is a beautiful catalog published on the occasion of a retrospective exhibition at the Crocker Art Museum from 2017-2018. The exhibition featured a diverse assemblage of Rippon's ceramic art including plates, vessels, luscious-looking fruit, statues of seated women who upturn stereotypes about the idealized female form in art, and playful sculptures in the vein of Funk Art.
