Lightly toed-in/bumped corners. Slight separation before title page with mild play along hinge; separation at pp.352-353 with all holding fine. Binding otherwise strong and square, though very stiffly favors several places throughout. Pages clean and unmarked with moderate uniform toning Primarily suited for collecting than for sustained use.

Cloth over spine is split and frayed, lifting about one inch from head of spine; fraying at foot of spine as well. Boards slightly exposed at corners. Some dark staining along bottom edge of front cover. Stamping on front cover remains bright and lovely. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Binding is a bit fragile; front gutter is cracked through, but otherwise remains secure. Color frontispiece of the marriage of Arthur and Guinevere. Contains 15 other color plates, with other illustrations throughout. A fair copy overall, well illustrated.
