Well-kept first edition (1966) of this collection of Thanksgiving stories, poems, essays and facts from various backgrounds - North America, England, Jamaica, Holland, Jerusalem and other locales. Includes stories about the Pilgrims and early New England, but also celebrates Thanksgiving as a harvest festival throughout America and other parts of the world. Illustrated mainly in black and white with some color. Geared for children aged nine and up, but a great read-to book for younger children. Maize-colored cloth, bright orange endpapers, 352 pages, printed dustjacket. Book looks and feels nearly new, with an old bookplate on the far outer edge of the front pastedown (hidden by the dustjacket flap), no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and has some edgewear at the spine ends plus a short chip (about 1/2") at the lower edge of the spine near the front and a 1/2" closed tear at the top edge. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
