Hardcover. Etat : Very Good+. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 1st Edition. The account of a typical American city and its people--what was thought, said, and done on the homefront and on the battlefront--from 1939 through 1946. A publication of the Richmond World War II History Committee. First edition. Aside from some browning to the pages and a light smudge or two on the textblock edges, this is a very clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the blue boards are clean, flat, and true with only some minor edge wear and bumping, especially to the lower spine which has a few small tears. Dust jacket is not clipped (price is $7.50 on the rear flap), but it is in rough shape. The rear flap has torn away from the cover, and there is a 2" by 1" gouge at the top of the back cover. There are also several tears along the spine ranging from 2" to 1/2". The foreedge of the front cover is also torn at the corners. This collectible, very good+/good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!.
