Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and noticeable rubbing to surfaces.Strong tanning to spine and edges. Notable ink staining to rear board.

Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is slightly dulled. Some additional mild marks and staining.

Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to half title page, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Plates are bright and clear, with slight tanning and foxing to edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with slight bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy sunning and light foxing to spine and edges, with noticeable shadowing on front board. Water marks down joint. Slightly bowed overall.
