Paper Ephemera. Etat : Fine. 1st Edition. A unique item. Offered is an original, typed and signed one-page letter (lacks original envelope and attachments) dated August 26, 1988 from Mark Glabman to the David Hockney Studio regarding four of David Hockney's artworks. Typed on Mr. Glabman's stationery out of Los Angeles, California, the letter reads as follows: "AUGUST 26, 1988 - DAVID HOCKNEY STUDIO - I'm sure you'll be pleased to know the location of the four works of art I have in Los Angeles. I have included transparencies for your records, and black & white prints to be used as a certificate to verify authenticity. Could you please sign the photo-certificates and date them. Also, any additional information for our records would be appreciated. I will inform your studio as to the purchaser of the works. The painting TREE? is described as Indian ink & oil on canvas. Is there any printing in the black area or any other materials used? I've also included photo-copies from the books illustrating the drawings. I hope this is helpful. THANK YOU - [signature] MARK GLABMAN - If anyone would like to see these works, please call and I will make the arrangements." A light green post-it note is placed on the letter by David Hockney Studio staff ("Information recorded and i/t's filed"). Signed by Author(s).
