With thirty full page illustrations by the author. 4to, blue cloth, red titles and illustration to front. A collection of amusing caricatures of a number of the author's acquaintances, who, for the most part, are shown enjoying a spot of deep-sea fishing. Ten of the thirty drawings are linked to the tuna fishing grounds off the coast of Wedgeport, NS, long known for its popularity with deep-sea fishing enthusiasts. Eugenie Marron, herself an avid angler, was a holder of four world records in the sport. With tongue-in-cheek references to the participants and their efforts to land a prize fish. "There's nothing so deflating to a chunk of egotistic humanity as a frank and forceful caricature."- from the preface. This edition is limited to 250 copies, this being no. 99. With a note type-written on the author's stationery, paper-clipped to the ffep, which reads "Here she is - hot off the griddle! This first edition is limited to only 250 copies, numbered and signed.
