Compiled from various sources by the author. 19cm x 25.5cm x 5cm with green binding and gold lettering. 708pp including index, 39 chapters divided into six parts, early railways, L&SWR, LB&SCR, SE&CR, SR, Steamers and Docks and a seventh section containing epilogue and appendices. Four colour plates and two folding maps, all present. How times change. At one time this book commanded a premium and went for around £35 but not in 2020 when I listed it. Very little wear to the bindings although some marks. Some foxing to the last few pages containing the index. Gold lettering on the spine not rubbed. For its age, very good condition. , Book weighs 2308g. For UK buyer if book weighs more than 2Kg when packed (allow 150g-200g for packing) we will request additional postage. This copy is ex-libris (Pewley School, Guildford) with the usual stamps and cancellations. It has some edge wear and a split between the spine and the upper board but this is holding. There is a repair to the inside front gutter. A dustwrapper is not present. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. This large book weighs in at 2.5 Kgs. Lavishly illustrated throughout with rare black and white photographs and line drawings plus four coloured plates and two folding plans of Waterloo station.
