Etat : Fair. 1910. No Edition Stated. 292 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt lettering. Contains black and white photographic plates.Rough-cut pages. Both hinges are cracked causing boards to be loose. More pronounced tanning and foxing to free end papers and pastedowns. Pages are moderately tanned. Plates remain bright with minimal tanning. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and noticeable rubbing to surfaces.Notable tanning to spine and edges.

Hardback, approx 6 x 9 inches. In green cloth covers with gilt to spine and gilt crest to front. In very good condition. Corners slightly bumped with some minor darkening to edges of boards. Spine not faded and bumped at ends. Small faint mark on rear board. Inside front endpaper hinge a little tatty. Darkening to page edges. Else a clean and tight copy. 292pp. Illustrated with b&w photo plates. The history of an English county borough, in Hampshire, now in Dorset, that began to attract attention as a resort about 1840. Bournemouth was the home of Robert Louis Stevenson from 1884 to 1887 and the book includes some interesting anecdotes.

The numer of copies from the subscribers list amounts to 134. Given the width of the margins this would appear to be a large paper copy. Previous owners name (D. B. Mate) and address to top of title page. Very laight foxing to title page, else a VG copy.
