Etat : 6. in-12, bradel demi-toile rouge, dos lisse orné d'un fleuron doré, couvertures et dos conservés, (6)-207 pp. Edition originale de cette adaptation de la nouvelle "L'Enfant" parue en 1882. Ex-libris gravé. Quelques légères rousseurs en début et fin de volume. Sinon en excellente condition.
In-18, (8) dont les 2 premières blanches, 207, (1) blanche. Un des cinquante exemplaires numérotés sur Hollande (n°43). Ex-libris du docteur Olivier. Beau demi-maroquin à coins bordeaux, tête dorée, dos à nerfs, non rogné, parfaitement exécuté par Kauffmann-Herclois. Couvertures jaunes et dos conservés en excellent état. Un des succès théatraux de Maupassant, adapté de sa nouvelle "L'Enfant" parue dans le journal Le Gaulois en 1882 puis dans Clair de lune en 1883. Maupassant travailla sur pas moins de trois versions différentes proposées par Jacques Normand, portant les noms de "Un soir de noce", puis "Babiole" pour finir par "Musotte" qui remporta un triomphe publique et critique le 4 mars 1891.

Reliure à la bradel en plein papier peigné, dos lisse, pièce de titre de maroquin marine sertie de filets dorés, couvertures conservées, élégante reliure signée de Thomas Boichot. Précieux envoi autographe signé de l'auteur : "A Guy de Maupassant, son ami." [ENGLISH TRANSLATION FOLLOWS] First edition for which there is no mention of large paper copies. Bradel binding of paper boards, dark blue morocco title label with gilt fillets, covers preserved, elegant binding by Thomas Boichot. Handsome autograph inscription from the author : "A Guy de Maupassant, son ami.".
