Hard Cover. Etat : Fair. New Edition. 460 pgs. HC book has black leather spine with gilt font, and black cloth covers. Fair condition with rubbed through corners and spine ends, shelf wear and cover spotting, leather spine is mostly chipped off almost completely, marbled page edges, moderate scattered foxing throughout. Both hinge gutters are gone, with covers barely hanging. Maybe missing an ep or two on either end. Text block is solid and tight, good reading copy, no missing text pages. No DJ. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall.

Hardcover. Etat : Poor. Poor but complete with careful old-time water-coloriing added to some of the illustrations. Worn pictorial boards - and spine in poor but interesting shape. An original 1865 issue and manufacture. still kind of cool and I think worthwhile.

No date, but definitely from the 1800's. Spine appears to be leather. The covers are slightly rubbed. The spine is moderately rubbed. The hinges are a bit weak, but the binding is holding together. The book is quite heavily foxed throughout. The rear free endpaper has some old ink annotations. A solid reading copy. Size: 12mo - over 6à ¿½" - 7à ¿½" tall 0.0 .

Etat : Fair. Part of the "Eclectic Educational Series "/ "Revised Stereotype Edition"; 224 p., clean and unmarked except for former owner's name, somewhat smeared, and 1862 date; remarkably strong paper is age-toned and foxed; binding is firm with rather worn leather spine with gilt lines but any writing has been effaced; light orange boardsare much scuffed at edges and very faded but wblack writing is still legible; binding is firm; what really keeps this still interesting little rarity with its truly delightful woodcut illustrations from been "good" is that there are water marks on the first few pages and on the last pages in back as well as the back board--the back end pages are also dog-eared and there is a small open tear on the fly leaf.
