Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering, no dust jacket. Rubbing to corners and spine ends, small indentation and some tiny white spots on spine, bookplate on front pastedown. Merrick (1874-1944) traveled extensively in Central Asia and was the first woman to become a member of the Himalayan Club. This book describes her travels in Ladakh, which included making her way over several dangerous Himalayan passes.
