Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. Agnes Nanogak (illustrateur). Cover has light shelf wear, light crease bottom front corner, text is very clean and well bound. Oblong 8.5 X 6" 127 pages. Foreword by Al Purdy. The Twenty-two tales presented here are those of a group of Inuit known as the Copper Eskimos, a people who have for centuries occupied a harsh and forbidding land along the Canadian Arctic coast. This delightful collection of their traditional legends and fables reveals a view of man, nature and the supernatural very much influenced by the realities of a life style bound to that land. Very beautifully illustrated by Agnes Nanogak.
