Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. London: Everett & Co, 1910. One of the most important sources on late 19th Century Irish radicalism, remembered by the man who chased them. John Mallon headed the "G Division" of the Dublin Metropolitan Police from 1874-1902, and was able to infiltrate many nationalist organizations. Quercus takes no position on whether he also instigated, as some have charged; this is, nonetheless, a fascinating account. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Uncommon to scarce. Green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine (which has faded to an olive colour). Clean text; 275 pages, with five pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Gilt top-edge, others deckle. Mild bumps; endpapers typically mildly foxed. A solid copy Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
