Spiral-bound Wraps. Etat : Near Fine. From Photographs and Drawings (illustrateur). First Edition. Clarksburg, WV: Saucerian Publications, 1967. First edition. Cover design by Gene Duplantier. Apparently a form of advance or review copy: "Fronticepiece" (sic) of Moseley is referred to, but not present; quarto binding is plastic-comb bound wraps, with covers pale blue. None of this matches the ultimately published edition, and no pirated editions are known to exist. 118 pp. Bit of curling at one corner of rear cover, minute traces of other wear, slight age-toning to pages, else near fine; really quite a sharp copy, clean, bright. An inexpensive, typed book, but something of a landmark as a collection of contributed articles, by-lined and news-clipped, to Moseley's Saucerian publication. In addition to Moseley himself (several items), contributors include notable on-topic names such as M.K. Jessup [The Antiquity of Civilized Man], Ivan Sanderson [A Reporter's Report], Frank Scully [Scully Breaks A Long Silence], Gray Barker (Why the Bender Book Has Been Delayed {in reference to Albert K. Bender's 'Flying Saucers and the Three Men', about which this book contains another article, below}), and a great deal of others. 46 items in all (in addition to Moseley's intro) include article titles such as "Message From Mars Sent to Earth 50 Years Ago ?" (news item); "The Legends of Mt. Shasta" (Richard Cohen); "Three Men In Black - The Al Bender Story" (Moseley, long before the movie); Humanoids and the Mars Saucer Cycle (Lonzo Dove); and, really, that's barely the start of it. An unusual form of a classic of the genre. LG8.

Wrappers. Etat : Very Good. Gene Duplantier (illustrateur). First Edition. Clarksburg, WV: Saucerian Books, 1971. First Edition. Signed and dated 11/15/73 by Moseley, with inscription to David Downs. Cover illustration by Gene Duplantier. 10 3/4" x 8 2/3", 80 pp. Illustrated perfect-bound wraps. Very Good Plus, just short of near fine, with a slit at spine bottom and really not much else to point to beside two specks of soil on bottom page edges. Bright, clean, tight. An extremely - and I do mean extremely - rare publication of Moseley, the iconoclastic UFO investigator/writer who, with Gray Barker, churned out a number of must-haves in the field through Saucerian. This is his look at Hangar 18 (the legendary captured-UFO storehouse at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, and the basis for its namesake 1980 movie) and related mysteries. Intriguing chapter titles, illustrations (including diagramatic witness-sketches of UFOs), enigmatic photos, and likenesses of UFO luminaries George Adamski and Long John Nebel enhance the distinctly eerie and captivating mood. One of the rarest of acknowledged UFO collectibles. L-g2. Signed by Author(s).
