The first and only novel by this Canadian writer, over the border at the FALLS, a popular success with lurid covers for the p.b. drug store wire rack trade. He then like (Fuchs and Faulkner) found his way to Hollywood where he worked on NOIRS AND SEMI NOIRS until he died at 45. A hard boiled life. The novel has been recently reprinted and a group of his stories and a memoir has also appeared. PERSONAL LONG INSCRIPTION BY HIM ON BACK OF FRONT BOARD, dated 1945.
