The book is free of marks, tears and folds but has a faded blue gilding on the tops of pages. The bright green cloth cover is beautiful with gold lettering and a silver deer on front. The spine is stamped in gold and silver which is very bright. The corners are sharp and the binding is tight. The paper DJ is tan and brown with Justice Douglas's quote on front. It has two words lightly written in pencil and a very small tear on front.
