Interiors very good with some creasing. Osbert Crawford (b. Bombay, 1886 - d. 1957) pioneered aerial photography for archaeology, participated in excavations in the Sudan with the Wellcome expedition and Wexcombe Down, was instrumental in the discovery of Woodhenge, created a photographic record of old Southampton, served as OS Archaeology Officer from 1920 to 1946, and founded the Antiquity journal in 1927.
