First Edition. -- Condition: Fine, with the exception of small hand-written 'No1323' to front pastedown, in near fine dust jacket, minor wear to tail of spine, with small unnecessary colour touch-up to spine ends and corners of front panel. -- Details: A sharp and bright first edition, rather scarce in such nice condition. With frontispiece and dust jacket illustrated by Lynd Ward. In publisher's smooth black cloth, spine lettered and ruled in white, front panel with title blocked on a white background and lettering in white, top edge tinted yellow, others untrimmed. Dust jacket with publisher's decorative trim to all corners, and priced 'Net, $2.00' to upper corner of front flap. Dust jacket with small amount of unnecessary colour touch-up to spine ends and corners of front panel. --.
