Hardcover. Etat : Good. No Jacket. This is a unique volume of this publication. The black-and-white images are printed as part of the publication of the book. However ,most of the color images, including the nudes in brown tones, are laid in as if in a production phase of the book, e.g. they appear to be cut out and affixed in place with the identification information already printed. There is a statement, following page 286, that reads " 'Passage' will include a detailed illustrated chronology of Irving Penn's work life printed in full color, not included in this advance bound book. Additionally, while the title page is printed the verso side is blank and there is no copyright information included in this volume. The boards are covered in an oat colored cloth that is soiled and has somewhat faded black lettering on the spine. There is also some cloth missing on the spine just above the "I" in Irving. Internally, this volume is bright, clean and without marks or soiling.
