Zweispaltiger Druck in französischer Sprache mit je lateinischer und deutscher Übersetzung. Mit allegorischem Frontispiz, in Rot und Schwarz gedrucktem Titelblatt und Holzschnittinitiale. Einband stark berieben und bestoßen, mit kleineren Fehlstellen im Lederbezug an den Kapitalen sowie Einrissen in den Gelenken (maximal 5 cm), fast durchweg blass stockfleckig, einige Seiten in den Ecken gering knickspurig, fliegende Blätter Tintennotiz von alter Hand, vorderes fliegendes Blatt um die Hälfte beschnitten. Außen zwar deutlich beanspruchtes, innen jedoch gutes Exemplar. 7th edition. Leather binding of the times with 6 raised bands, red edges and marbled endpapers. French language edition with translations in Latin and German. Printed in two columns. With allegorical frontspiece, title page printed in red and black and woodcut initial. POMEY (François-Antoine), humaniste Français, né à Pernes en 1619 mort à Lyon en 1673. Il fit partie de l'ordre des jésuites et enseigna les humanités et la rhétorique dans divers collèges, en dernier lieu à Lyon où il devint préfet des classes. Pomey a écrit un certain nombre d'ouvrages.La dernière partie de l ouvrage traite de la Fauconnerie : les oiseaux de fauconnerie, marques, termes, Autour, Lanier, Gerfau, Emerillon, Epervier. Thiebaud le cite col. 754 sous le nom de Pomey (R.P. François Antoine). Zt. über vier Bünden (berieben und bestossen, Kapitale defekt). 1664 erstmals französisch-lateinisch, 1690 dann französisch-lateinisch-deutsch erschienenes Wörterbuch des Jesuiten François Pomey (1618-1673) mit dem zuweilen fehlenden fanzösisch-lateinischen Traktat über Jagd und Falknerei (SS. 43 58) im Anschluss an die Stilübungen zwischen Teil I und II. Das gestochene allegorische Frontispiz zeigt wohl Pomey selbst als Verfasser des "Dictionnaire" zusammen mit drei gekrönten Frauengestalten, die wohl die drei Sprachen Französisch, Latein und Deutsch symbolisieren. De Backer/Sommervogel VI, 985. Das zweite Blatt der Vorrede zum ersten Teil mit restauriertem, bundseitigen Papierdefekt (etwas Textverlust). Das letzte Blatt am Fusssteg angerändert. Altersgemäss leicht gebräunt. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar. So vollständig und mit Frontispiz selten.
