American actress Mary Lou Daves began her career in Hollywood as Mary Lou Lender in the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her work on the silver screen included numerous films, and it was her time on the 1938 Harold Lloyd comedy "Professor Beware" where she met and subsequently married the budding film director, Delmer Daves. As both writer and director, Daves would go on to contribute his talents to movies such as "Destination Tokyo, starring Cary Grant and John Garfield, "Dark Passage," starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in 1947, and "Broken Arrow," starring James Stewart in 1950. The Hollywood couple were married for 39 years until the latter's death in 1977. Signed by Illustrator(s).
