Hard Cover. Etat : Good. No Jacket. The covers and spine have edge wear, are rubbed and have some light spotting. There was a name written on the front pastedown that was scribbled out with ink pen and some one drew a picture of a person under a umbrella and colored it in on the ffe. There is light soiling to the end papers, the front hinge is cracked and the back free end page was removed. The pages are all yellowed. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Every other edition has the translator as "George Fyler Townsend", but this edition has the author as "Rev. Geo. Tyler Townsend, M.D.". All original plates are intact. Book has an additional book after page 224 "One Hundred Picture Fables with Rhymes" by Otto Speckter. This particular edition appears to be very scarce. Overall good condition; appears to have had some glue repair to reattached pages to spine. Highly collectible. Nice edition. (BR) Box 216.
