Moderate foxing and tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pen inscriptions to front pastedown and front endpaper is missing. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting as well. Boards have mild rubbing and moderate edge wear. Visible bumping to corners and heavier crushing to spine ends. Both joints are splitting with rear coming away from book.

Some marks and rubbing to the boards and spine. Elaborate spine gilding remains quite bright. The textblock shows typical signs of age and some foxing that occasionally encroaches on to the pages, but the majority of the contents are clear and pleasantly bright.
