Good+ no dj - but prior owner has made a card dj which has well-protected the boards beneath. no inscriptions, but there are is a prize plate to ffep. gilt decorative titling is a tad dulled. nternally clean and with some slight foxing to ffeps/early pages. all pages present. there is a tape seam added to gutter between title page and facing image. neat job - perhaps to re-secure an earlier loose page?.

Binding has fraying at the top and bottom of the spine, wear at the corners and some rubbing on the gilt decorated cloth. Interior has some light foxing on the half title page and cracking at a couple of the signatures, and former owner's name on front fixed end paper, but the book is still solid and the tipped in chromographs are clean and bright.
