"Published for the American Folklore Society by The University of Texas Press". 401 pp. Green cloth. The dust jacket is lightly shelf worn. Small patches of rubbing to the corners of the dust jacket. Tiny tears to the head / tail of the dust jacket spine / small patches of rubbing. Small patches of very light creasing to the top edge of the dust jacket. Dust jacket has a few light / small patches of dust-staining. Ths is minimal. The dust jacket is protected in a mylar wrap. Hints of dust-staining to the top edge of the text block. Boards show minimal shelf wear. Light bumping to the head / tail of the spine / to the bottom corners of the boards. Endpaper has a small patch of crayon to the top edge and original owner's name penned at the bottom. The internal pages are clean and the binding is sound. The book also includes a newspaper article from 1986 by Natt Hentoff, titled "A Honkey-Tonk Crooner". This is folded inside the book.
