Decorative Cloth. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Your Own House was written and illustrated by Thomas P. Robinson in collaboration with Ethel Faye Robinson. It's illustrated with more than 200 pencil drawings. The book was published by The Viking Press in 1941 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's an ex-library copy in very good condition but for the library markings, has no dust jacket, and has cloth boards with a pasted on pencil illustration print on the front board. It has 183 pages with an Index, a Table of Contents, and the fore-mentioned drawings. "This is a book for everyone who wants to spend time thinking about a home of his own before he builds. It is a book to read and absorb long before the actual house is chosen, for it puts into perspective every one of the considerations which, in total, will determine whether the house will be a place to live in, or just a place to sleep." Thank you!.

Hardback (No Dust Wrapper.). Hardback. Physically 9" x 7" (0.7 kg); 240pp; Index; 5th Printing. From the introduction: "The story of houses is the story of the people that made them. The history of a country could be written from a study of its houses. It would be a better history than the ones written from a study of wars, because it would tell about people when they were creating things and not when they were destroying them." || The book is on my shelves and will be carefully packed and posted from the pastoral paradise of Peasedown St. John, Bath, by a real bookseller in a real book shop - with my personal guarantee and my beady eye on the Consumer Contracts Regulations. REMEMBER! Buying my copy means the bookshop Jack Russells get their supper! My Book #108321|| Condition: Good. Gently bruised at head & tail of spine and corners. Boards dulled, soiled and slightly sprung. Previous owners inscription to ffep. Endpapers soiled and dull. Text bright and tight.
