A special feature of this area is the large number of timber-framed houses dating from the 14th to 17th centuries. This inventory contains a descriptive list of archaeological sites in South-West Northamptonshire, and is the fourth volume in a series to be published of such sites in the county. About five hundred monuments dating from the Neolithic period to the mid 19th century are recorded under parish headings, and a general account of the archaeology of this part of Northamptonshire, arranged chronologically, is included in the preface. This copy is in uniform grey binding with gilt stamping to the front board and spine and is in MINT condition. The unclipped and protected dustwrapper is also in MINT condition.
