Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Fine. Bernard Fuchs (illustrateur). 1st Edition. This offering is a Deluxe, Limited Edition Franklin Library publication of The Unmade Bed written by Francoise Sagan, translated from the French by Abigail Israel and illustrated by Bernard Fuchs. It's deluxe in that it has the "built in" bookmark, gold-gilded page edges, satin-like end pages, and leather-bound boards with a ribbed spine and gold-gilded lettering decorating both the front and back boards and forming the print on the spine. It IS a book in Franklin Mint's The First Edition Society which means that it has also been signed (perhaps laser-printed) and includes a laid-in eight page "Notes from the Editors" pamphlet describing the work. The book was published by The Franklin Library in 1978 and is a stated "limited first edition published by special arrangement with" Dell Publishing Company, Inc. and Aidan Ellis Publishing Limited. Usually the books in this series by Franklin Library were published a bit before the trade editions so, in reality, the books in The First Edition Society are the true firsts. This copy is in fine condition and has not been read. To my knowledge, the only time it's been opened has been when I opened it to glean the information that I've included in this blurb. What an absolutely beautiful gift . . . for yourself or a loved one! Thank you for looking!. Signed by Author(s).
