Softcover (Saddle-stapled). Etat : Good. Illustrated (illustrateur). First Edition. The text is illustrated by numerous black and white cartoons, unfortunately, the illustrator hasn't been credited. Illustrated front cover with black coloured titles. A book put out by two journalists about the general election that was to happen in Britain in 1950. It lambasts both sides impartially, even hysterically, and gives a general guide to politics of that era (not much has changed really). Creasing to the book corners and a little chipping to the top book edge. Fading to the backstrip and the textblock edges and internal text is quite brown. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. (1), 2-63, (1) pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Illustrated. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 500 grams. Category: History; Britain/UK; Politics & Government. Illustrated front cover, again by Vicky, with black colour titles to the front panel. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying boards, with black coloured titles to the front panel. "Let Cowards Flinch is a new, full-length satire on English Revolution." -- from the front fold over panel blurb. It is a very jaundiced view of English politics in the post-war period. Bumping to the book corners and the top 1 inch of the backstrip has become detached from the book. Softening to the lower backstrip edge with rubbing along the book edges. The results of insect activity can be seen also along the book edges and to the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. Browning and foxing to the book panels and there is browning to the textblock edges and age toning of the pages. Foxing throughout. The dustwrapper is in pretty ordinary shape. the top centimetre of the rear dustwrapper is missing and there is a large triangular piece missing from the top left-hand corner of the front panel. The dustwrapper is in two parts with the majority of the backstrip missing. Dustwrapper is now protected in library sleeving. Browning and foxing has also occurred. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
