First English edition, first printing, number 1636 of 3000 copies. Signed by the publisher. Original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine and upper board, with a photographic plate to the upper board. Patterned endpapers. Printed on blue handmade Fabriano paper. Illustrated throughout with tipped in colour photographs of Art Deco sculptures. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with some very faint scuffing to the lower board and the slightest touch of wear to the board corners. The contents are bright and clean throughout. Housed in the original black solander box which is very lightly rubbed to the extremities and has a faint scuff to the upper board. Signed to the limitation page in black ink by Franco Maria Ricci. Containing essays on the early 20th century dancer Isadora Duncan, and on Art Deco statuettes inspired by Duncan, dance, and theatre.
